Flutterby uppskrift/knitting pattern

Þessi peysa fær liti sína og mynstur að láni frá Monarch fiðrildinu. 

Peysan er prjónuð ofanfrá og skipt í ermar og bol að loknu berustykki. Mynsturkaflinn í berustykkinu inniheldur útaukningar sem falla inn í myndflötinn. Ermar og bolur eru án útaukninga eða úrtöku, en fremst á ermum er hluti mynstursins af berustykkinu endurtekinn lítillega breyttur, með tilheyrandi útaukningum sem búa til smá bjöllulag á undan stroffinu. Stroff á bol og ermum er prjónað snúið með því að fara aftan í sléttu lykkjuna.

Prjónfesta: 21L og 27U gera 10x10cm.

Prjónastærð: 3mm, eða sem gefur rétta prjónfestu.

7 stærðir, yfirvídd í cm: 91, 99, 107, 114, 122, 130, 137cm. 

Garnmagn: Í stærð 1 nægði ein hespa af hverjum lit, þar með talið aðallitnum. Frá og með stærð 2 þarf 2 hespur af aðallit (sérlega ef einhverjum cm er bætt við síddir), og frá og með stærð 4 þarf líka 2 hespur af strofflitnum.

Uppskriftin er til bæði á íslensku og ensku.

This sweater is inspired by the Monarch butterfly, with its orange wings and white speckled black stripes.
Knit from the top down with 3 different patterns of stranded knitting (mostly double, but also a few rows of triple stranded).
Divided into body and sleeves after the yoke. The pattern section in the yoke contains integrated stitch increases. The sleeves and body are knit without increases or decreases apart from a widening at the sleeve cuffs produced by repeating a slightly different variation of the wing pattern from the yoke. This widening creates a bell shape which is then pulled in by the ribbing. The ribbings on the body and sleeves is „twisted“, by knitting the K stitches through the back loop.
Lots of fun details that add an organic appearance to the garment, imitating its namesake, the butterfly.
